Rochelle, with an impressive 20-year tenure in public accounting, has been a resource to various governmental entities and organizations. Her expertise encompasses audit, accounting, and consulting services, offering guidance and management in audits, audit preparation, ongoing reconciliations, CFO support, and grants management. Rochelle’s dedication extends beyond the numbers; she’s a passionate advocate for knowledge sharing and committed to enhancing comprehension of grants management and governmental accounting. She has presented and moderated numerous presentations for Tribal organizations, focusing on grants management and governmental fund accounting, enriching the understanding of individuals in this complex field. Membership in Professional Organizations: Rochelle is a member of the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants (NMSCPA). She is a licensed CPA in New Mexico (CPA License #6677). Education: B.B.A., New Mexico Highlands University

Michael Mora

Manager, CPA

Michael has over eight years of experience in accounting and auditing, working primarily for state and local governments, tribal governments, and tribal enterprises. Additional industries served include manufacturing, higher education, healthcare, and publicly traded entities subject to SEC standards.


Giving back to the local and surrounding communities by volunteering time at various organizations and colleges is at the forefront of Michael's goals. He currently serves as the Treasurer at the Native American Community Academy and a member of the Indigenous Advisory Council for Junior Achievement of New Mexico. Michael also provides financial literacy courses and shares his career path with high school and college students in Indigenous communities.

Education:  Michael holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Accountancy from New Mexico State University. He is a Governing Council member and is on the Finance and Audit Committee for the Native American Community Academy.

Andrew Quintana

Supervisor, CPA

Andrew brings ten years of experience in accounting and auditing, working primarily for state and local governments, tribal governments, and tribal enterprises. 


Beyond his career in public accounting, Andrew is a strong advocate for educational sovereignty in Native American communities. Since 2017, he has served on the Governing Council for the Native American Community Academy in Albuquerque. He also serves as the treasurer of the board of directors for Khapo Community School in Santa Clara, Pueblo. In 2010, Andrew wrote the business plan for the Keres Children’s Learning Center, which was key in securing start-up funds for the full Keres language immersion school in Cochiti Pueblo.

Education:  Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in economics from the University of New Mexico and a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. Andrew also holds a postgraduate certificate in Data Science and Business Analytics from the University of Texas at Austin.

Lloyd Begay

Accounting Assistant

Lloyd Begay is an emerging professional with a passion for learning and community service. He is currently pursuing a dual concentration Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems at the University of New Mexico. Lloyd has already gained experience in the business field. His journey began in high school, where he developed and implemented a professional business plan for a DJ program, which enhanced his skills in accounting, operations, and marketing.


Lloyd is deeply committed to community engagement, actively volunteering with the Native American Community Academy’s financial committee. He also contributes to the American Indian Business Association, Beta Alpha Psi, and the Institute of Management Accountants at his university, helping to build a strong network of professionals with shared interests.

Josephine Martinez 

Supervisor


Josephine has over seventeen years of experience in accounting and three years in audit prep, working with a non-for-profit for fourteen years and then transition into public accounting. Working primarily for tribal governments. Additional rolls she has had were accounting specialist, buyer for procurement, payroll specialist, and budget analysts.

Abigail Kinoshita

Accountant I


Abigail brings valuable experience in auditing and financial services to BMC. During her time as an auditor at Cushman CPA, she developed proficiency in audit procedures, financial reporting, and internal controls, collaborating closely with clients to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. Beyond technical proficiency, Abigail is dedicated to fostering understanding and clarity in financial processes. She is passionate about providing thoughtful solutions that support clients' goals while promoting long-term success. She is currently preparing to pursue the CPA exam to further expand her expertise and professional credentials.

Edgar Chavez

Accountant I

Edgar Chavez is an accounting professional with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and is currently pursuing CPA certification. With six years of experience in manufacturing and construction finance, he specializes in financial reporting, inventory management, and compliance. His background includes managing large-scale inventory operations, optimizing financial processes, and ensuring regulatory adherence. Beyond his professional work, Edgar is committed to community service. He organizes annual toy drives for underserved children and mentors college students through academic support and career guidance. He has also been involved in outreach programs focused on education and youth development, including past work with the UNM School of Medicine Prevention Research Center to help reduce health-risking behaviors in teens.
